About me

I have a Bachelor (Honours) Degree level education as "Teacher of Russian language and literature". Additionally in 2020 I completed a course specialising as a "Teacher of Russian as a foreign language for children". I worked for 12 years in a language school for bilingual children and I have experience working in the British education system, including invigilating GCSE Russian exams in schools in Greater Manchester and Cheshire. I am a current holder of an Enhanced DBS Check.

 Russian is my native language and my task, as a teacher, is to teach children to speak Russian and to be able to read and discuss any topics in Russian.

 I love working with children and I enjoy teaching. There are always lots of smiles and laughter in my lessons and we have a lot of fun. We learn through play!

I have prepared suitable programs for children from 6 to 16 years old, which have been practically tested and perfected in my lessons. Each child studies according to an individual schedule, which is agreed with the parents during the first free 30 minute lesson.

Teaching the GCSE Russian Language specification takes the longest. Depending on the level of knowledge of your child, preparation can take 1-2 years. If their native language is Russian, I highly recommend taking an express course with guidance for the speaking part of the exam - Paper 2: Speaking in Russian. As many years of practice have shown, even native speakers make mistakes in this part of the exam!

I also provide support to help you organise your child’s GCSE Russian exam as a private candidate at their school.
